At the Dental Assisting School of Arizona, we prepare and educate aspiring dental assistants on what they will need to know in order to become professional dental assistants at a dental office. During our 13-week course, we cover a large variety of forms of chairside assistance during dental procedures. We also review how to help patients remain calm while providing a welcoming demeanor.
We will also prepare and instruct our students about the application process for dental assistant positions after passing the course. This way, our students have the medical knowledge, the proper demeanor and understanding of the application process to begin their path toward a dental assistant career. Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry
Dr. Michael Dickerson
Dr. Dickerson attended Arizona State University, and studied dentistry at The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He is always striving to further his dental education and stay on the cutting edge of dentistry through numerous hours of continuing education courses each year. Dr. Dickerson has completed extensive ongoing certifications, including becoming certified as a provider for implant dentistry, 6 Month Braces techniques, Invisalign technology, and same day crown system.
Dr. Dickerson is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association and many other associations and organizations.
Dr. Dickerson and his wife, Deanna have been married for 10 years and have four children. Together, they enjoy hiking, watching movies and spending time with friends and family. They are thrilled to raise their family in the valley of the sun close to their families!
Chris
Dental Assistant Instructor
Chris has been in Dentistry for 38 years. She has worked in the front office, but her expertise is in dental assisting. She has worked in endodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry.
Currently, Chris is hands down one of the best Dental Assisting Instructors in the Valley. Her years of Dental Assisting, her passion for the industry, and the sheer enjoyment of teaching and sharing her vast experiences in dentistry make her an outstanding instructor. Our students enjoy and are excited to learn from all she has to offer. Chris, not only a detailed instructor, but she is the industry link/connection for all her students. She prides herself on the high-quality Dental Assistants she produces. Chris continues to work as a Dental Assistant, along with teaching. She believes that helps her stay abreast of all the latest dental procedures and products. Chris’s passion for dentistry is evident by her employers, co-workers, patients, and students alike.
Jean Reblitz
Director
Jean has been in the dental field for over 25 years. She has worked in general dentistry, orthodontics, and a dental crown and bridge laboratory. As the Director of the school, Jean provides information to the public, including high-school and college students, regarding the exciting careers in the dental industry. She is in constant contact with Dentists throughout the Valley providing students and dentists with the connections to work together through internships and filling open dental assisting positions. She and Chris, the instructor, work side-by-side to make the Dental Assisting School of Arizona a personal, exciting, and rewarding experience for all their students!
